Arno created the IPTABLES firewall script to secure his Linux computer at work.
Unfortunately, Seven eventually discontinued his work on the script, leaving Arno to continue on his own. When Arno adopted an ADSL connection at home, he discovered that the iptables firewall included in the ADSL4LINUX package lacked essential features, such as flexibility with trusted hosts and port-forwarding. Arno used his knowledge of ADSL4LINUX to implement ADSL support and integrate both his home and work machines with a single firewall solution.
Over time, Arno's firewall script underwent major renovations and vast improvements. The ADSL and NAT support are among the key features that make his script a standout choice. Arno is planning to release version 2 of his script, a complete rewriting of the firewall script to make it more adaptable and user-friendly.
