Ascension is a KDE-based email application.
Using IMAP should be safe, although pop3 and Unix (local) mailboxes may not be as safe since they have not been extensively tested. I cannot take responsibility for any loss of data while using the program. It is essential to note that Ascension has only been tested under Linux.
The current version supports IMAP (not SSL) mailboxes, Pop3 (not SSL) mailboxes, Unix mailboxes, viewing of HTML messages (no HTML composing), limited searching of headers, dockable parts, and configurable fonts, colors, and behavior. However, there are still some things to do, and these include support SSL connections, PGP and S/MIME support, virtual folders, and many more yet-to-come ideas.
The latest release is the first public release, which comes with bug fixes and other features. If you are looking for a reliable yet straightforward email client, try Ascension email client. It is undoubtedly worth your time.
