Audio::Xmpcr is a Perl software interface to the XM PCR Satellite radio.
It has only been tested with a limited range of cards, including the 16 meg all-in-wonder rage 128 capture card, the 8 meg all-in-wonder pro capture card, the 4 meg all-in-wonder capture card, the ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage II+ 215GTB [Mach64 GTB], the 2 meg ATI Rage II+ video card + an ISA addon tv card, and the Ati Rage Pro video card + an ISA addon tv car.
If you are planning to use Mythtv, note that it currently only supports capture cards that output planar YUV, and the bt82X chip can only output packed format YUV. Thus, until someone patches Mythtv to support other formats, you will have to adjust accordingly.
While you don't need the GATOS video driver to use this module, you should use it if you're only planning to watch TV, as it supports overlay and a wider range of cards.
In the latest release, CAGC or Automatic Chrominance Gain Control has been enabled, which helps make colors more vibrant. Additionally, CKILL or Low Color Detection and Removal has also been enabled. This update also includes initial support for closed captioning, although it's not currently in its intended location. EDS data can also be captured, though the output location still needs to be determined.
