This software is a pure C parser for HTTP Cookies. It's designed to easily read and parse cookies in HTTP requests and responses. With its simple interface and efficient performance, it's ideal for developers who need to work with cookies in their web applications.
We found CGI::Simple::Cookie and CGI::Cookie to be rather slow when profiling it for our OpenResty project, and thus the module was rewritten in C. With CGI::Cookie::XS, you can easily parse raw cookies or directly read them from the CGI environments, providing a convenient and efficient approach to cookie handling in HTTP applications.
The SYNOPSIS shows how easily the module can be used to parse cookies. The $raw_cookie is a raw string containing the cookie data, and $res is the resultant parsed hash. The module is built to follow the "release early, release often" guideline to improve its functionality and performance in the long run. If you find any issues with this module, please feel free to let us know.
