ChatSniff is user-friendly monitoring software for chatrooms.
This recent release (version not specified) has introduced a few updates that include the software's movement to a single instance of tethereal, the removal of "any" device from device list, and a first-time case for network dev selection. Additionally, the software has undergone some major HIG/UI adjustments, the addition of a status bar, auto-start, and a toolbar. The code has undergone significant cleanup, the packet output has improved and so has the error dialog formatting. You'll also notice the addition of versioning to preferences, start/stop timestamps, and a help dialog that now reflects reality. Additionally, the ugly empty space above the first packet has now been gotten rid of, which makes for a much cleaner sniffing experience.
These improvements might seem minor, but overall, they all contribute towards making ChatSniff an even better software than it had been before. The program is certainly worth a try if you're looking for an easy to use and reliable instant message monitoring tool.
