Checkfilenames is a Perl script designed to identify file names exceeding a specific character limit.
With Checkfilenames, this problem is addressed more comprehensively. This script can accurately list all files with a name longer than 64 characters (or any user-specified length). Use of this software is very straightforward. All you need to do is to navigate to the folder or directory in which you want it to find files. Checkfilenames will then proceed to search through the folder recursively from the current directory.
To run the software, enter the command checkfilenames
