Horde Application Framework offers a read-only web-based interface to multiple version control systems. It enables easy browsing of code repositories without the need for a client software.
One notable feature of Chora is its visual branch viewing tool, which has been intelligently designed to display the branch history of a given file. This feature addresses an area that has traditionally led to confusion when working with CVS repositories. The goal is to make it more transparent and user-friendly overall.
Chora was created with customisation in mind, given that Version Control Systems are used in many different ways. As a result, all repository manipulation logic is abstracted away in the VC library module. The PHP scripts that power the tool are simple HTML rendering scripts, while the more complex repository logic remains hidden within the library. This library can do much more than just support Chora; it can be used to search for commits, generate graphs, collate changes, and more (all of which are planned for eventual inclusion into Chora).
