Cover2kopete is a script for Amarok that extracts and displays the current song's cover image while it plays.
To get started with Cover2Kopete, you'll need to activate the "global identity" option in Kopete's settings. Once you've done that, you can install the script using Amarok's built-in script manager. However, do not activate it just yet!
After installation, locate the script's file in your ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/scripts directory and open it using a text editor. This step is necessary because you'll need to modify line 36 to specify the URL of the user photo that you want to use when no music is being played. This photo should be no larger than 75x75 pixels.
Once you've made this change, activate the script using Amarok's script manager, and you're all set. Overall, Cover2Kopete is a handy tool that anyone who uses Amarok and Kopete can appreciate. The installation process is straightforward, and the end result is a more personalized online identity.
