DataMonster is a data management software designed for d20 D&D games. It operates through a console interface and streamlines data organization for easier access and understanding.
One of the latest updates to the software fixed the backward xp returned from the 'calc' command. This was corrected, and a new 'xp' command added. This new command allows for applying xp to player characters, and users can check out 'xp apply' for more information.
Additionally, DataMonster now uses v1.2 of andargor's XML data. Users can now list every creature, including pc's and monsters, in one init-sorted list using the 'ls' command. The software now also has a new option, 'party', for listing pc's.
A new command, 'pc', has been added to DataMonster. Players can use this command to add player characters to the party list. The 'pc' command asks for a name and maximum hp for that player. The 'hp' and 'init' commands now work with pc's too.
Lastly, the 'save' and 'load' commands now have a 'party' option. The default filename is "players.dat". Overall, if you're a fan of D&D, DataMonster could be the software you need to manage your data effectively.
