This software converts SQL to two linked HTML popup menus, making it easier to navigate through data.
If the SQL for the base menu returns no results, the constructor returns undef. Meanwhile, the linked menu is linked to each item in the base menu, implying that when the user changes the current selection on the base menu, the available options on the linked menu change automatically.
For instance, if the available choices on the base menu include A and B, and A is the current selection, the linked menu will display A1, A2, and A3. If the user changes the current selection on the base menu from A to B, then the available choices on the linked menu automatically change to B1 and B2, thanks to the Javascript techniques used.
To implement this module, you simply use the start_form function to print the code on a form or use the start_html method to present it on a page. In both cases, you simply use the Javascript generated by the module, then print the resulting HTML code for both the base menu and the linked menu.
