Dekadent is a chatbot programmed in C specifically for IRC communication.
I have released Dekadent with incomplete features, as I don't have the chance to code it regularly, and wanted to address any bugs or issues that arise over time. This release also provides me with feedback that will help me to develop Dekadent further in the future.
This version (0.9) includes a range of features, although I acknowledge that there are many more to be added in the future (see the TODO file). Features in this version include user access, autoop, autovoice, a shitlist, web news, and different user/channel configuration. The bot also supports dcc chat (partyline) and a news system.
It's important to note that Dekadent won't replace Eggdrop, as it's not a full-fledged IRC bot - I'm still a relatively inexperienced coder, and Eggdrop has been developed by experienced coders over the course of ten or more years.
In terms of recent updates, the most recent version of Dekadent includes a bug fix on !join (where the bot sent a message to sdata.target instead of the partyline), a bug fix on !deluser (deleted users will now be cleared from memory), a bug fix on !reload and !rehash, and changes to web.c (!web dbot) to work with the new dbots' site.
