Despeckle plug-in enables users to choose filters that eliminate any unwanted noise, scratches, or specks appearing on an image.
I particularly appreciate the options that are available to me within the Despeckle Plug-In. The window itself is easy to use, with scrollbars that allow me to pan within the image. The preview window reflects the output of the filter using the current settings.
The Radius control is an important feature that should be mentioned. It allows users to choose a window size for the filter, ranging from 1 (3x3) to 20 (41x41). It is important to note that larger values can cause blurring, and may increase the amount of time it takes to filter each pixel in the image.
The Adaptive button is another feature that I find incredibly helpful. This button selects the adaptive median filter, which adjusts the window size based on the image content. This can sometimes improve the clarity of filtered images. Additionally, the Black Level and White Level can be adjusted to fine-tune the filter radius.
Overall, the Despeckle plug-in is easy to use and offers many helpful features. It is an ideal tool for anyone looking to remove specs, scratches and noise from their images.
