This is a Simple and User-friendly DNS management tool available on the web.
Currently, the software has very basic functionalities such as adding records one by one and deleting them via checkboxes. Nevertheless, it is still a very effective tool that can be beneficial to anyone who needs a simple DNS server.
Installing DNSDusty is really easy as it comes pre-installed according to the Debian packaging guidelines with a list of sources that can be installed using the EPM program. Once you have installed the software, you'll need to modify the config file which comes by default at etc/dnsdusty/dnsdusty.conf.
One thing to keep in mind is that the config file should only be writable by root and readable by the user that the webserver runs as. Since it contains the key to allow updates to your webserver, you should ensure that you secure it appropriately unless you want anyone to be able to update your server.
Overall, DNSDusty has been a great tool for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple and effective DNS server.
