EDAcS is a software that provides security monitoring and investigation capabilities by collecting, archiving, and reporting remote user connections.
To run EDAcS, it is necessary to have the cgic 2.02 package installed along with gd 2.0.35. In this newest release, new charts are now generated to provide daily statistics, which can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding monthly statistic chart. The edacs-chartsgen has been completely rewritten, correcting a bug that created issues when dealing with new routers used for reporting. Additionally, compiler warnings have been eliminated by removing a const ** variable and thus, making "strcpy" safer.
Overall, EDAcS is a highly useful tool for any organization that needs a reliable and user-friendly method for gathering and reporting on remote user connections. The ability to install each component independently, along with the reliability of the RADIUS protocol, make it a valuable addition to any security program. Its streamlined interface and easily accessible daily and monthly statistics allow for quick identification of any issues or vulnerabilities in the system.
