Extended Module Player is a software that can play modules on Unix and Unix-like systems, featuring a portable command-line interface.
This software is over 10 years old and at one point was unmaintained but has since been brought back to a usable condition. It plays over 70 mainstream and exotic module formats from Amiga, Atari, Acorn, Apple IIgs, and PC.
Current xmp supports a wide range of module formats and variations, including XM, MOD (Noise/Fast/Protracker), MOD (Startrekker/Audio Sculpure), M15, IT, S3M, STM, STX, MTM, MTN, IMF, PTM, MDL, ULT, LIQ (Liquid Tracker), PSM (Epic Megagames MASI), AMF (DSMI (DMP)), MMD0/1, MMD2/3, MED3, MED4, DMF, RTM, TCB, DTM, GTK, DTT, MGT, MUSX, DSYM, DIGI, DBM, EMOD (Quadra Composer), OKT, SFX, FAR, UMX (Epic Games Unreal/UT), STIM, MTP, IMS, XANN, 669, FNK, AMD, RAD, HSC, ALM, AC1D, FCHS, FCM, FUZZ, KRIS, KSM, MP, P18A, P10C, PRU1, PRU2, PHA, WN, UNIC, TP3, MPn, DI, EU, P4x, P60A, NP2, NP1, NP3, ZEN, UNIC0, UNICn, UNIC2, CRB, TDD, and GMC, totaling 80 known formats.
However, some of the formats are still in early development and may not play accurately or may be unstable, including Graoumf Tracker GTK and X-Tracker DMF. If any of these formats are important to you, be sure to let the developers know.
