Freepia is a compact GNU/Linux platform developed to function on Via Epia-M Mainboards.
The primary objective behind this project is to create a complete and fully-featured media box that can play a variety of media types such as movies, mp3s, and images while maintaining low noise levels. To achieve this functionality, Freepia utilizes a media center platform called freevo. However, there are plans to incorporate support for other media center platforms like MythTV or VDR in the future.
Overall, my experience with Freepia was very positive. I found the installation process to be straightforward, and the system's user interface was easy to navigate. The media playback performance was exceptional, providing clear and smooth playback with minimal lag. Additionally, the low noise levels made it a pleasure to use, even in quiet environments.
Overall, if you are looking for a media box that provides excellent media playback performance and low noise levels, Freepia is definitely worth considering. Its compatibility with Via Epia-M Mainboards and support for various media center platforms makes it a versatile choice for media enthusiasts.
