Galago-daemon is a system daemon that supports Galago project.
First, navigate to the directory containing the Galago package's source code. From here, type `./configure' to configure the package on your system. If you're using `csh' on an old version of System V, you might need to type `sh ./configure' instead to prevent `csh' from trying to execute `configure' itself.
The `configure' step may take a while to complete. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for. Once complete, type `make' to compile the package, and optionally, type `make check' to run any self-tests that come with the package.
From there, you can install the programs and any data files and documentation by typing `make install'. If you want to remove program binaries and object files from the source code directory, type `make clean'. To also remove the files that `configure' created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean'.
Overall, the Galago package has fixed some memory leaks, proving beneficial for software developers using this system daemon. It has also fixed assertion errors when cleanly shutting down the daemon. While there may be a `make maintainer-clean' target, it is mainly intended for package developers - if used, it may require you to get other programs to regenerate files that came with the distribution.
