This Perl extension converts diagrams from Games::Go to Sensei's Library format, allowing for easy integration and sharing of game data.
One important thing to note is that Sensei's Library diagrams only support move numbers from 1-10. Therefore, when using this module, users must make sure to call sgf2dg with arguments that specify a maximum of 10 moves per diagram and start each diagram with move number 1. Additionally, users should be aware that Sensei's Library does not support labelled stones.
When an initial board isn't empty and doesn't have a handicap setup (i.e., only black stones, all of which are on hoshi points), an initial setup diagram is printed. Diagrams' extents are limited to the stones actually played, plus a margin. This means that if there are only stones in one corner, only that corner will be printed, not the whole diagram. While this feature is useful for analyzing local positions, it may produce undesirable results if the first ten moves of a real game are all in one corner (however unlikely that may be).
Overall, Games::Go::Dg2SL is a helpful module for converting Games::Go::Diagrams to Sensei's Library format. Its straightforward interface and compatibility with Sensei's Library make it a great choice for users looking to work with these types of diagrams.
