This is a software interface for playing the board game GO. It allows users to play the traditional strategy game using a digital board and provides various features for players to make moves, track their progress, and customize the experience.
The primary features of GGoban are its *.sgf editor, interface for playing against the computer gnugo, and an ultimate client to play on the Internet Go Server (IGS).
GGoban is easy to install. Users simply need to enter the following commands in a terminal: "./configure make make install." However, if you obtain the software through the version control system (currently bazaar), you will need to run "gnome-autogen.sh." If you use a debian-based distribution, this script can be found in the "gnome-common" package. The configure step is already done by the gnome-autogen.sh script.
To utilize the program, simply type "ggoban" to start the software. At present, no help documentation is available. GGoban is a versatile and effective software for GO enthusiasts of all levels.
