Gnome BitTorrent Downloader is a simple program that acts as a pop-up when executing torrents, rather than a full front-end interface.
Several dependencies exist, including python-gtk2 and python-gnome2, both with additional dependencies, as well as python-glade2 and python. The use of BitTorrent is also a requirement, with the suggested version 3.3 or higher.
Many improvements are contained within the most recent release. These include wrapping gobject.idle_add calls to always return False, resulting in a rare program-won't-close issue fix. Also, prefix.py generation has been cleaned up, and the update process for all version numbers is now more streamlined. Additionally, a change in fmt_time_short to display hours, minutes, and seconds, along with the removal of errdiag.glade, streamlines the software workflow.
