Gnoteman is a GNOME panel note-taking tool designed to help users easily create and manage notes.
One of the best things about gnoteman is that it's really small and simple, with no configuration options. To create a new note, you simply click on the applet and choose the "New Note" option. The note window pops up, and you can type in a short message of just over 1000 characters or about 200 words.
Once you've created a note, closing the window automatically saves it. The next time you click on the applet, the menu will show the date and first few letters of the saved note as a menu item. Another great feature of gnoteman is the "sticky note" feature. This means that notes that are saved and kept open when you exit your GNOME session will automatically reopen in your next session.
While there is no explicit option to delete a single note, you can do so by opening the note, selecting the entire text, and deleting it before closing the window.
Overall, if you're looking for a straightforward and uncomplicated note-taking software, gnoteman is definitely worth checking out.
