GResolver is a user-friendly software that helps to perform DNS queries with ease.
With GResolver, users gain support for all the major resource record types, including AAAA, AXFR, MX, and TXT. Additionally, the tool constructs the appropriate in-addr.arpa address from dotted-quad IP addresses during PTR queries.
Steering the most frequently used options is made easy through the use of checkboxes. However, in order to use GResolver, users must have Gtk2-Perl, Locale::gettext, and Net::IPv6Addr from CPAN installed. Furthermore, the dig program from BIND is required, which can be found in bind-utils package for Red Hat/Mandrake/Fedora, dnsutils on Debian, and in the bind-tools package on Gentoo.
In its most recent release, GResolver introduces support for Win2k/XP (Windows instructions here). Overall, GResolver is an excellent option for those looking for a user-friendly and efficient tool for DNS queries.
