This software provides common functions that are utilized in other modules within Hey::* framework.
The module has various useful functions, such as formatMoney, which formats monetary values into strings e.g. $common->formatMoney(524.4) will return the string "524.40". The sha1 function hashes any scalar or binary value that is passed to it.
The forceArray function is a straightforward way of converting a non-array reference into an array reference in cases where an array reference is expected. The randomCode function also generates a random code string depending on the specified length and allowed characters. It defaults to 16 characters and including all alphanumeric characters.
The deepCopy function makes a copy of a reference without creating a reference to it. The isAffirmative and isNegative work with both strings and numerical values to determine if a value is true or false. Finally, the smtpClient function sends emails using configurations specified in its optional arguments such as the host, from and to fields.
Overall, the Hey::Common module is an essential tool for software developers using Perl.
