History Manager manages the OOo Recent Documents list by providing options to alter its size and delete its contents.
For those unfamiliar with OO.o, it is an office application suite that runs on multiple operating systems. One of its most impressive features is its support for the ISO standard OpenDocument Format (ODF), which makes it easy to interchange data between different applications. Additionally, OO.o can handle Microsoft Office '97-2003 formats, among many others.
OpenOffice.org was originally created after Sun Microsystems acquired StarDivision, the developers of StarOffice, back in August 1999. The goal was to create a high-quality alternative to Microsoft Office that was free and open to everyone. And so, OO.o was born. Today, it remains a popular and free software suite available under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).
With this new release of History Manager, users get access to a couple of new features. First, the macro library is now packaged as an extension, taking advantage of the latest installation features. Also, users will notice a menu icon under ToolsAdd-Ons. Finally, it's important to note that the "history list" no longer exists, and the "pick list" is the only remaining feature. Luckily, History Manager has been updated to reflect these changes.
Overall, I found History Manager to be a reliable and user-friendly tool. It's a great way to keep track of recent documents and clean up your OO.o interface. Plus, with the introduction of a few new features, it's better than ever. So if you're looking for a way to manage your OOo Recent Documents list, give History Manager a try.
