http-analyze is a software that analyzes web server logs. It provides information on visitor trends, popular pages, and other useful statistics.
The software recognizes HTTP/1.1 server responses and the new CORE top-level-domains. It is available in source form and can be compiled on most platforms with an »ANSI-C« compiler. Binary distributions for specific platforms like IRIX, Solaris, and Linux are also available. The software had a Windows version available, but it is no longer supported.
Some key features of the software include an easy-to-use interface for easy navigation throughout the statistics report. The software contains the 3Dstats logfile analyzer, which creates a 3D view (VRML 2.0 scene) of hits by month and hits by hour/weekday.
The software computes Hits, File count, Cached file count, Pageviews (textual pages), Sessions (unique hosts per 24 hours), and KB sent. Summaries are produced in three levels of detail. Additionally, the software automatically links directories and/or URLs to the resulting statistics record for this page.
Http-analyze can handle HTTP/1.1 server responses and new top-level-domains while producing images in PNG format. The software comes with source code and is fully configurable for the user to adjust the layout of the statistics report.
A commercial version for ISPs is available, which includes support and assistance for individual solutions. However, the software has some limitations. It only allows the user to create statistics reports for their web server using an unmodified copy of the software. It does not include any support other than available through the website, and it requires the copyright note and link to the homepage of http-analyze to remain intact in the statistics report. The user doesn't have the right to alter the look & feel of the statistics report or modify the software other than getting it compiled on a specific platform unless explicitly permitted.
