IPCAD is an acronym for IP Cisco Accounting Daemon.
One of the advantages of IPCAD is its ability to use various traffic snooping technologies like BPF, libpcap divert, tee or Linux ULOG & IPQ. Additionally, the software provides RSH, NetFlow, and console output in a Cisco-like fashion. This makes it easy to monitor the network and analyze gathered information.
Using IPCAD, you can also apply RSH access lists and implement address aggregation support for RSH and NetFlow. The software handles UDP/TCP/SCTP ports and supports dynamic interfaces such as PPP and VPN.
To use IPCAD, you need at least Berkeley packet filter or libpcap library. The software runs on various platforms, including FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Linux, MacOS X/Darwin, and Solaris. In summary, IPCAD is a reliable and efficient software that allows you to analyze and retrieve network traffic data easily.
