JSIEBEX is a tool that enables access to the memory of an obex-enabled mobile device via obexftp.
The software was initially developed to work with the Siemens S55, but it is expected to work only with that device. Currently, the software uses the IrDa device to connect to the phone, but the team is checking issues with serial connectivity. Therefore, users must ensure that their IrDa device is running correctly before trying to use the software.
As an open-source project, JSIEBEX welcomes experts in Java and XML to participate in its development. Users must have the following software requirements: obexftp toolset, openobex libraries, and the Java Runtime Environment (tested with JRE6).
The latest release of JSIEBEX comes with exciting new features that include fixing issues with folders containing blanks and enhancing the download function. Files downloaded will now go to the jar folder. The software team also included a console in the window that shows the output of the toolset, eliminating the need to toggle to the shell. Lastly, image icons in the tree are now working in the jar.
However, it's worth noting that the software project has not been actively developed since 2005-08-10 22:19.
