K Executable Viewer is a tool for viewing executable files that is designed for use with the KDE environment.
Although the developer has a general idea of how they want the development process to proceed, the program has not reached that level yet. This is evidenced by the fact that the release on this page is not the most up-to-date code.
This program has been released as a proof of concept with the hope that anyone finding it useful will contribute to its development. As such, it is important to note that not everything has been implemented or works as intended. Even items that are implemented may not be in their final state.
Currently, Kbview allows users to open executable files and get a list of the sections. Additionally, users can view the string, symbol, and note tables (although note support is presently half-assed). Finally, there is partial support for demangling the symbols.
Overall, while Kbview is still in the early stages of development, it does offer some useful browsing capabilities for executable files.
