The KBPack software enables users to install pre-compiled utilities, libraries, services, and more on QNAP TS-101/TS-201, reducing the time and effort required for manual installation.
Some of the key services and functions supported by KBPack include Apache HTTPd, MySQL, and MTA. With Apache HTTPd, KBPack enables you to set maximum connections and bandwidth limitations while MySQL allows users to enable/disable TCP/IP networking, set port numbers, and change the root password. Additionally, the MTA function supports PHP mail() and allows you to set SMTP server details and SMTP authentication, as well as to send test messages.
To install KBPack, you simply need to upload the tar file to a shared folder such as /share/KBPack via SAMBA/FTP, log in to your TS-101/TS-201 device via Telnet, and use tar to unpack/extract KBPack-v0.1.tar. You can then run install.sh to install KBPack and start using it with your browser.
To uninstall KBPack, you can log in to your device via Telnet and run uninstall.sh to remove the application. Before installing KBPack, it is recommended that you disable the Recycle Bin.
One requirement for using KBPack is that you have installed the MySQL Pack for QNAP TS-101/TS-201. In the latest release of KBPack, the application now supports maximum number of connections and bandwidth limitation for Apache HTTPd while also providing better support for MySQL and MTA.
