KDE Media Converter is a script created with Kommander that can convert any media type to another type seamlessly. It is a versatile tool for media conversion.
While this program is great, there are still areas for improvement. For example, it would be useful if it could handle the conversion of multiple files at once, and if it had a simpler "map-format" because it can be a bit messy at times. If you enjoy this program, I recommend checking out SoundKonverter and Kvideoencoder as well. I also want to give a special thanks to the Ubuntu Italian community for their support and to almusaihij for creating a Kubuntu .deb package and sharing code and ideas.
Updates in this release include an improved GUI that is more user-friendly, and the software is now based on FFMpeg (although some options still remain under Mencoder). Additionally, user options such as video/audio codec and audio bitrate have been added, and many bugs have been fixed.
