The Kubuntu Feisty 7.04 package includes the KIO Slave sysinfo:/ from openSUSE.
One of the convenient features of KIO Slave sysinfo:/ is the ability to customize the icon. To do this, simply add your personal icon to the folder "/usr/share/apps/sysinfo/about/images" (48x48 pixel).
This latest release of KIO Slave sysinfo:/ includes several improvements and bug fixes. The background has been updated to be transparent and will look better with non-white window backgrounds. The Greek translation has been fixed, and Hungarian and Russian translations have been added. The disk progress bar has been updated to improve clarity when the used space is low. Additionally, there is now a tooltip that appears when the cursor is over the disk name. The temperature section has been removed and merged with the CPU section. You will also now see the number of cores in the CPU section (only if there are more than one). Overall, KIO Slave sysinfo:/ is a useful tool that provides crucial information about your system.
