KMyFirewall simplifies the process of configuring IPTables-based firewalls on Linux platforms.
One of the great features of KMyFirewall is the ability to save entire rule sets. This means that once you've configured your rule set, you can use it on multiple computers with similar configurations. This is particularly handy for school networks, offices, and universities.
While KMyFirewall can make the process of setting up a firewall easier, it's important to remember that programs can't perform miracles. You still need to know what your firewall should be doing to set up your rule set properly. KMyFirewall is there to help you as much as possible, but ultimately you're the one in control.

The latest release includes a fix for local firewall installation, as well as initial steps towards implementing support for OpenBSD (although this feature is currently disabled). Additionally, the Avahi protocol has been added to the protocol library.
