The Kommander OpenWithDlg plugin facilitates the KDE OpenWith Dialog.
One of the aspects that I found particularly useful was the included example kmdr-file, which made it easy to get started with the software. Additionally, the only requirement for use is Kommander.
The latest release of this software includes several new functions that make it even more useful. For example, the getSelection function shows the openwith dialog and returns only the user's selection, without executing it. This is useful when you want to gather information about what applications users are utilizing. Furthermore, the getExecSelection function returns the last user selection, which is helpful because the execute function returns nothing.
Overall, I found Kommander OpenWithDlg to be a reliable and user-friendly choice for anyone who wants to give their users more options when working with files.
