Kopete MSN Contacts Picture Album is a script that generates separate picture albums for each MSN contact in your Kopete account, and stores them in a specified directory.
To use this software, first make sure that the script is executable by running 'chmod +x' if necessary. Then, create the directory where you want your picture albums to be saved. For example, type in the command 'mkdir $HOME/msnPictureAlbums'.
Next, write the absolute path to this directory by using the file ${HOME}/.kopete-msn-album-dir. In other words, type in the command 'echo "$HOME/msnPictureAlbums" > $HOME/.kopete-msn-album-dir'.
To run the script, type in './kopete-msn-album [&]' and use the '&' symbol if you want it to run in the background. Keep in mind that the script does not provide any output, so be sure to read the log file for errors and information.
If you would like the script to start automatically every time you start your KDE session, put a link or a copy of it in $HOME/.kde/Autostart.
Lastly, if you want to change the directory where the albums are stored, you will need to kill the script first and repeat the steps above starting from step 1. You can also move the folder containing the albums easily without deleting any existing folders or images.
This software requires Kopete 12.x and has only been tested on a Debian system, but should work on other systems as well. If necessary, you can set KOPETE_MSN_PICTURE_DIRECTORY to your needs.
