KVisualBoyAdvance is a user-friendly interface for the VisualBoyAdvance emulator, providing a basic graphics tool.
One of the key features of KVBA is that it displays all available GBA ROM files and lets you select the directory where these files are stored. You can also choose the VisualBoyAdvance binary to use, select various runtime arguments such as size, smoothness, filters and more. If you save these options, they will be used the next time you run the program. Configuration settings are stored in the $HOME/.kvisualboyadvance/VisualBoyAdvance.cfg text file.
KVBA comes with default controls, but you can change them in the text configuration file. The controls are easy to use and include Left and Right arrows, Up and Down arrows, A and B keys, L and R keys, Start and Select keys, and a Speed up button.
The VisualBoyAdvance program is not supplied with KVBA, but you can find it on the command line. However, to run VisualBoyAdvance, you will need to have the libSDL1.2 package.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that KVisualBoyAdvance is distributed under the GPL license. In the latest release, there is an optional usage of external BIOS file. Overall, KVBA is an excellent program for Game Boy Advance enthusiasts who run Linux.
