The Linx Kiss Server was developed for personal use, serving as a project focused on personal purposes.
After some tweaking and testing, I can confidently say that Linux Kiss Server (LKS) not only works with Kiss DP-600, but it should also work with other Kiss players. Here are some of the standout features of LKS:
- Allows you to make a selected directory accessible for your Kiss player
- Can run as a daemon or in the foreground
- Can respond to Kiss player queries for PC-LINK server
- Can disable UDP binding completely (ignores Kiss player 'looking for PC-LINK server' queries)
- Can override the default server port
Overall, LKS has proved to be a reliable and user-friendly software for anyone looking to make their Kiss player more versatile. Additionally, the recent release has fixed a format string vulnerability issue, making it even more secure for users.
