Lookbusy is a user-friendly app designed to create fake traffic on a Linux operating system. With its simplistic features, it can efficiently generate synthetic load to test system performance.
When generating CPU loads, Lookbusy adjusts its own consumption up or down to keep the CPU(s) at the chosen utilization level. Additionally, Lookbusy can induce load at a fixed level or on a repeating cycle that mimics daily traffic load curves.
With this release, Lookbusy has fixed self-adjusting load issues on multi-CPU systems. Minor portability improvements and interface tidying were also done.
Overall, Lookbusy is a simple yet effective software tool for generating synthetic loads on a Linux system. It empowers users to simulate the level of busyness they require to suit their use case or testing needs.
