Lost Cities project is a risk management card game implementation of Reiner Knizia in software format.
The game comes equipped with a complete set of rules, allowing newcomers to get acquainted with the gameplay quickly. Each player starts with eight cards, and on each turn, they must play a card or discard it, followed by drawing a new card from the deck.
Each card has a color and a value ranging from 2 to 10, with a few having a unique value - the handshake card. There are three handshake cards per suit and one of each numbered card.
In Lost Cities, players have one pile for each suit to keep track of their played cards; these are displayed at the top of the screen. The opponent's play piles are at the bottom. Players can only place higher-numbered cards on top of lower-numbered ones, and handshake cards must go first.
Discards are also sorted by suit, with the pile displayed in the center of the window. Players can draw a card from the deck or any discard pile after playing or discarding cards. The game ends as soon as the last card is drawn from the deck, so players must manage their hand effectively throughout the game.
In conclusion, Lost Cities project is a fun and stimulating game that challenges players' risk management skills. With smooth online gameplay and an intuitive interface, it's an excellent addition to any game library.
