Lrceditor-amarok is a pyqt3-based LRC editor designed for use with Amarok. Currently at version 0.2.0, it is the initial release.
To run lrceditor-amarok, you only need to decompress the software, type "./lrceditor-amarok.py" in konsole or any other prompt, and you are set to go. It is crucial to understand that lrceditor-amarok is not Amarok's script.
To use the software, open Amarok first, regardless of whether it is in play or stop status. Next, navigate to the specific track you want to edit using either Amarok or Lrceditor-amarok. You can import a .txt file for editing, modify .lrc files, or copy and paste the lyrics into the textbox.
Click the "start" button to initiate the editing process. You will notice changes, such as the progress bar moving and the current time label updating. Press either the "insert tag" button or "F5" to include the time-tag from Amarok to each line of lyrics.
Once the track ends, the progress bar stops moving, and you can fill any essential information below the textbox. Finally, you can generate and export the LRC file you have just made. You may need to select an export directory and encode the file first.
Additionally, lrceditor-amarok has a few convenient private shortcuts like Alt-Q to quit, the Pause key to pause the music, P to play, S to stop, and Alt-O for importing .txt or .lrc files. You can also use Alt-D to select an export directory.
Overall, lrceditor-amarok is an excellent software that makes the process of editing LRC files against Amarok music players considerably easier.
