Lyricod is a Linux-based software that displays Lrc lyrics onscreen.
To utilize Lyricod, you must place your .lrc files into the song directory or your ~/lyrics/ directory and begin the program. The .lrc file should have the same name as the song file with a .lrc extension, although Lyricod has some guessing abilities, it is better to avoid relying on it. If you have python-gnome installed, some options will save into gconf, and you can access the options at /apps/multimedia/lyricod/. Use gconf-editor to access gconf settings.
Lyricod has a few requirements before use; these include pyosd, dbus-python, python-gnome, pyinotify, and ttplyrics. With the latest release of Lyricod, Proxies are now supported for network access, cookies, and an offset tag bug was fixed. In addition, character encoding support and lyric matching were both improved, while the bug in which forward and rewind stopped working after the last line of the lyric displayed was adeptly handled.
Overall, Lyricod is a useful piece of software, making it an incredible addition to your music player stream.
