Lyrics ID3 is a software that facilitates the storage of song lyrics directly in the tag.
When you run the writing script, the lyrics of the current song are automatically stored in the mp3-tag. And when you use the reading script, the amaroK lyric script fetches the lyrics from the mp3-tag when you make a fetchLyric request.
The download file comes with two scripts: read_lyric_from_id3 and save_lyric_to_id3. The former reads the USLT frame of the id3v2 header and sends the lyrics to amaroK, while the latter stores the lyrics fetched from amaroK to the USLT frame in the ID3v2 header. The lyrics are automatically saved on trackChange, and you can also manually save them using the context menu's 'saveLyrik' option.
However, it's worth noting that there are a couple of warnings to keep in mind. First, the lyrics are stored in the mp3 file, so there's no guarantee that the file won't be damaged after the ID3 writing process. Second, the files aren't checked to see if they're mp3s, so non-mp3 files may be damaged after writing.
The only requirement for this software is amaroK. This release includes a correction to the French translation link in the README and an Italian translation, as well as some spell checks from Marco Poletti.
