Misfit Model 3D is a 3D model editor that uses OpenGL technology.
Misfit Model 3D has been written and tested on Linux (2.4 and 2.6 kernels) and has been compiled and tested on most major Linux distributions. On the downside, it is not endian-safe, so it is unlikely to run on non-x86 hardware platforms unless a version that's usable on big-endian archs is developed upon request.
The latest release, version 1.3.7 Development Release, comes with notable improvements, including "Export Selected", "Apply to selected" for model transformations, and exact positioning of the rotation point for the rotation tool. Additionally, it features improved support for the Cal3D format, as well as performance fixes for normal calculation and MD3 loading.
In summary, Misfit Model 3D is a must-have for anyone looking for a powerful yet simple to use 3D model editor with an extensive set of features and a high level of flexibility for customization.
