Movida is a software tool designed for managing movies.
To help with better management, you can assign a user-defined category to each movie. Additionally, movie information can be retrieved from offline resources such as IMDb lists or online resources like the IMDb website, possibly through external plugins. You can even export movies to various file formats like HTML (using templates) or CSV/TSV files.
Movida offers a complete yet simple user interface. The software has a few requirements, including Qt version 3.2.x or later (development version!). If you're compiling Movida on GNU/Linux systems, open a shell and move to the Movida root directory (containing OSDaB.pro), then run 'qmake && make'. Don't worry about the many warnings you may see – they will be fixed in the future. Once compiled, the binary, simply called "movida," will be put in the bin subdirectory.
Currently, Movida has been tested on Fedora Core 3, Mandrake Linux 9.2 and 10, and is not compatible with Qt 3.1 or older versions. Overall, Movida is a useful tool for anyone wanting to better organize their movie collection.
