NVPerfKit: Debug & profile OpenGL/Direct3D apps with ease. Comprehensive tool suite to enhance app performance & optimize.
The latest version NVPerfKit 2.1 has acquired support for 64-bit Windows platforms as well as 32-bit and 64-bit Linux platforms. The installer has also been updated, and the upgrade includes enhancements to NVPerfHUD, Release 90 driver support, and various other features.
Performance counters stay within reach in OpenGL and DirectX applications, and analysis tools such as Intel VTune and Graphic Remedy's gDEBugger via WMI PDH interface. Additional support is provided via Microsoft PIX for Windows plug-in giving easy accessibility to low-latency performance counters directly from the driver.
The NVPerfKit suite comprises of several components, Instrumented Driver, which interfaces seamlessly with graphics API and GPU to avail of performance counter data automatically installed. The Advanced real-time analysis of Direct3D applications feature, NVPerfHUD, the API utilized to access GPU signals in applications implemented along with sample code and helper classes for DirectX and OpenGL applications, NVIDIA Developer Control Panel and instrumented driver, Nvidia Plug-in for Microsoft PIX for Windows, and GLExpert aimed at capturing glimmers of OpenGL usage errors and performance issues.
The software supports various analysis tools such as PerfMon, Intel(r) VTune(tm), GDbugger, and many others. The tool offers extensive coverage and is useful for developers who are involved with debugging and analyzing performance of OpenGL and Direct3D applications.
