pam_eaccess adds an authorization function via a PAM (Pluggable Authentication Module) module that can be used as a general methodology. This software module enables enhanced access control for various applications.
To install "pam eaccess," users must first extract the tar file, configure the tool, then make and install it. Once installed, users can add the module by simply editing the PAM config file and adding the following line: "auth required pam_eaccess.so." It is worth nothing that the keyword "debug" also is supported.
In addition, "pam eaccess" requires the /etc/pam-access.conf file. Users must use the hardcoded filename and follow the given syntax: one service per line, with the service name followed by a list of users separated by commas. The keyword [ALL] can be used for services and/or users as a wildcard.
To use "pam eaccess," users need several requirements, including "pam_pwdfile," "Perl module Authen::PAM," and of course "pam eaccess" itself. Overall, "pam eaccess" is an excellent tool for managing authorization across all services.
