This patch enhances Net Accounting Daemon by enabling logging of network traffic on a MySQL Server.
There are several signals you can use, each with its own purpose. SIGINT and SIGTERM both end the daemon, but SIGUSR1 increases the debugging level, while SIGUSR2 turns off debugging. You can print a version ID with SIGWINCH, or disable writing to file with SIGTSTP. To enable writing to a file, simply use the SIGCONT signal. The last two signals are especially useful for automating log file archival. Just send a SIGTSTP before moving the logfile and send a SIGCONT when you are finished.
This latest release brings a few enhancements, including modified process.c netacct.h, and a switch to the configure script for building, as recommended by GNU. You'll also have access to all compile options as configure options, except for HASHSIZE, which is for advanced users. With the added functionality and ease of use, Net Accounting Daemon is an excellent choice for anyone needing top-notch network traffic logging abilities.
