This software provides accessible links for Patent Applications and Issued Patents at the USPTO, aiding in patent research and analysis.
When you're on the USPTO website and using this add-on, you'll notice links to various sites in the upper left corner. These sites include Pat2Pdf.org, FreePatentsOnline.com, PatentStorm.us, the EPO Site, the EPO pdf, EPO Legal Status, EPO INPADOC, and PatentFetcher.com.
Each of these links provides a different benefit. For example, Pat2Pdf.org will create a free downloadable pdf version of the Patent you're viewing. FreePatentsOnline.com and PatentStorm.us will do the same, as long as you're registered. The EPO Site provides a European Patent Office related record of the Patent, while the EPO pdf is the European Patent Office related pdf of the Patent (CAPTCHA entry required if the Patent is issued).
In addition to these links, there's also Cited Art which provides links to pat2pdf.org and the EPO site for each issued US Patent cited.
To use this add-on, simply navigate to the USPTO website and find the patent you want to view. For example, you could go to US Pat. No. 7,458,133 (linked through a tinyurl.com link to USPTO.gov). Once you're there, you can take advantage of the various links provided in the top left corner. You can also use the links created if an issued US Patent is cited on the face of the patent.
Overall, if you're someone who spends a lot of time on the USPTO website, the PatentlyUseful For the USPTO add-on is definitely worth checking out. It provides you with a range of useful links that can help you get more out of your time on the site.
