Perl_Config is a Perl-based configuration file parser designed to be integrated into other applications. It streamlines the process of reading and parsing configuration files, making configuration management easier for developers.
Although still under development, it can currently parse configuration files in the following format:
# This is a comment - obviously
section_one {
some_variable = some_value
another_variable = another_value
}
# another comment
a_free_floating_assignment = "Not in any section"
another_section {
yet_another_variable = 1234
}
One limitation of this tool is that it lacks full syntax checking. This includes checking for empty assignments, duplicate variable names, and duplicate section headers. However, this check will be added in a later release as the parser is incorporated into future projects.
