The software tool Perl Qt4 is specifically designed for KDE development purposes.
As a software reviewer, I would be grateful for any feedback regarding editing, additions, or corrections that may be necessary with this test version. I have tested its efficiency on Qt4.2.3, and the archive contains several example codes.
The requirements for using this tool are simple and include Perl and Qt 4.x. To install the module, simply type the following:
- perl Makefile.PL [option]
- make
- make test
- make install
Several options are available, such as the include directory for Qt, which is set as default to /usr/include, but can be changed to /usr/local/include, for example, with the command perl Makefile.PL -i /usr/local/include.
What's new in this release? This version adds access to protected enums, rewrites Makefile.PL, fixes bugs in QListWidget and with WId, adds examples/desktop/snapshot, and adds modules into CPAN.
Overall, I am impressed with the functionality and efficiency of Perl Qt4, and I recommend it to any developer looking for an easy-to-use and versatile tool.
