Planner.el is an Emacs-based organizer that helps users manage their tasks and schedules. The project offers several features to improve task management, including note-taking, scheduling, and calendar integration. With Planner.el, users can efficiently organize their work and stay on top of their daily tasks.
What's great about Planner.el is that it provides a summary view of your tasks, schedule, and notes right within Emacs. And if you're also using emacs-wiki.el, you'll find that Planner.el seamlessly integrates with it to help you manage your website.
One handy feature is M-x remember, which is part of the remember.el module. With this feature, you can quickly jot down notes and have them stored in your daily planner page. And if you want to navigate through your planner pages more easily, Thomas Gehrlein contributed a patch that allows you to simply select dates from M-x calendar.
Overall, I personally prefer this text-file-based system over other organizers like Evolution or Korganizer. I appreciate being able to quickly search my daily planner files using M-x grep, as well as the ability to backup and version control my data files. And if you want to use the Remembrance Agent alongside Planner.el, you can do that too!
